SBFI was established with the aim of uplifting the quality of life in various communities where Security Bank has a presence. The foundation believes in the old Chinese proverb,

“Give man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

Recognizing that given their resources, they cannot be everything to everybody, the foundation decided to focus on education and livelihood development programs.

The beneficiaries of the foundation’s Education Program include students and teachers of public schools, as well as less fortunate and deserving students of identified colleges and universities. Grants may include the Student Excellent Awards (SEA) Project, the Security Bank Corp Professional Chair Grant, the “Build a School, Build a Nation: 100 Classrooms Project”, and sponsorships of various educational projects.
