The University of San Jose Recoletos Scholarship and Financial Aid was created to help students continue their education based on the different criteria set for each program. The scholarship money is not required to be repaid. The university maintains highly qualified and competent administrators, faculty and staff, supported with a regularly updated and adequately maintained and fully equipped laboratories. The university also maintains a well-coordinated and organized Student Services.

 

The University of San Jose Recoletos is a Catholic university imbued with the spirit of Caritas et Scientia, committed to provide quality Christian community oriented education. USJ-R continually enliven the curriculum with Gospel values through its hybrid programs for value innovation, that engages in interdisciplinary approach to integral formation.

 

The curriculum serves to exemplify the Augustinian Recollect charism and core values as well leverage its present resources for optimal use. Founded in 1947 by the Order of Augustinian Recollects, then Colegio de San Jose-Recoletos became one of the excellent schools in the region of Cebu.

 

The graduate programs of the university are open to students who meet its academic standards and who are personally qualified to acquire a formal education. They also offer the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) and the Technical-Vocational Programs under the Recoletos Industrial and Technological Training Center (RITTC).

 

The RITTC is the technical training arm of the USJ-R. The program was created to provide cost effective technical-vocational training geared towards the development and optimization of the student’s full potential through knowledge and skills training. It caters to people with diverse backgrounds and prepares them to be productive citizens in a competitive global society.

 

 

High school honor graduates

Honor graduates of the public and recognized private schools get discounts. Valedictorians in a class of at least 50 students are exempted from tuition fees for the first two semesters only. Valedictorians in a class of less than 50 students are exempted from the tuition fees for one semester only. The Salutatorians in a class of at least 40 students are allowed a discount of 75% of the regular tuition fees for one semester only. For the subsequent school terms, these scholars are governed by Rule No. 2 below

 

 

Academic scholarship

This applies to all colleges except Law and Graduate School. Free tuition for one semester for students with an average of 1.0 – 1.2 with no grade of less than 2.0 in any subject in the preceding semester, except P.E. and ROTC, provided they are enrolled in at least 15 academic units.

 

75 percent discount on tuition fees for one semester for students with an average of 1.21 – 1.30; with no grade less than 2.5 in any subject in the preceding semester except P.E. and ROTC. They must be enrolled in at least 15 academic units.

 

50 percent discount on tuition fees for one semester for students with an average of 1.31 – 1.40; with no grade lower than 3.0 in any subject in the preceding semester except P.E. and ROTC. They must be enrolled in at least 15 academic units.

Tuition Fee Discounts Based on Blood Relations

Two students – one with the lower tuition fee gets 10% discount

Three students- one with the lowest tuition fee gets 30% discount

Four students – one with the lowest tuition fee gets 50% discount

Five students – one with the lowest tuition fee gets 75% discount

Six students – one with the lowest tuition fee gets 100% discount
