The United Church of God in the Philippines offers financial assistance on a limited basis to qualified and deserving, but financially challenged students affiliated with the church. You get a scholarship upon the recommendation of the church pastor and upon approval of the senior pastor. The selection via the Good Works Scholarships or Educational Assistance program is based on approved standards, procedures, and guidelines.
The United Church of God Pilipinas, also known as the United Church of God Philippines, is a registered nonprofit religious organization associated with the United Church of God, which is an international association in the United States. The Church is dedicated to collectively and individually do the will of God in proclaiming the true gospel message of the coming kingdom of God.
It is common knowledge that getting a basic formal education is one of the basic needs of individuals in the Philippines, more especially for members of the Church of God who are being trained to be servants in the coming kingdom of God. Basic education is a constitutional right in most countries.
For the past 2 years, the church has helped about 14 Filipino students via the Good Works Scholarships or the Educational Assistance Program. The Good Works Program is intended to provide an organized way for people to help others who face unusual, emergency situations that cannot be anticipated or budgeted for.
The intent of the program is to make these situations known to the church, and to coordinate the distribution of funds that are raised by individuals, congregations, or groups in fundraising efforts. The surplus donations over and above the amounts needed to meet the needs of that particular project will be allocated to other similar projects unless otherwise noted in the donation.

UCG created the Philippine United Youth Camp, a Christian camp, to provide the youth an environment that will demonstrate God’s works. They also created the Vertical Thought, which is a kind of magazine to give relevant content to young people ages 12 to 22 discover and live God’s way of life.
