The Center for Scholarships and Financial Assistance (CSFA) of Mapua ensures that scholarships, academic grants, financial aids and all its services are made available to all academically deserving, creatively gifted, and financially challenged students. The responsibilities of the Center include: dissemination of information regarding the availability of scholarships and financial assistance packages to deserving and qualified students; screening of applicants for the purpose of awarding scholarships, and financial assistance; and monitoring of the scholar’s performance.
As part of its financial assistance program, the Center, in coordination with the various departments of the University, recruits, screen and recommends student assistants for part time employment.
It is recommended that all students have their own laptops, especially freshmen under Architecture, Engineering and Sciences, Engineering Management, and Information Technology programs. Adapting to the latest technology and trend, Mapua will be utilizing the laptop to facilitate learning.
There are certain programs that will be used by the professors in conducting their respective classes and a laptop would be needed to run such programs. The school has set the minimum recommended laptop specifications.
It is not recommended for students to get a netbook or tablet. Students will have laboratory courses and laptops are needed for instruction and learning. They are powerful enough to provide an optimum learning experience for the students. Specifically, laptops will be used if you will be enrolling under the following programs
Architecture: AR
Engineering and Sciences programs: BE, BECM, CCE, CESE, ChE, Chm, CE, CpE, EE, ECE, EnSE, Geo, GSE, IE, MfgE, MSE, ME and STAT
Engineering Management programs: CEM and SEM
