The K Line Maritime Academy Philippines, in pursuit of its organizational mission and vision, through the K Line Scholarship (KLS) program, commits to ensure the continuous supply of qualified and competent Filipino deck and engine officers to board vessels managed by the K Line Group of Companies. They continuously monitor the career progress of the scholars with the support and assistance of the designated manning companies. They constantly review the process involved in the realization of the K Line Scholarship programs in order to meet any further requirements by the K Line Group.
The K Line Scholarship Program aims to select BSMT and BSMarE students enrolled from the K Line’s accredited maritime schools. Selected students are given scholarship once they pass the standards set forth by K Line.
At present, there are four accredited maritime schools participating in this program and these are the
PMMA: Philippine Merchant Marine Academy
JBLFMU: John B. Lacon Foundation Maritime University
LIMA: Lyceum International Maritime Academy
The K Line Mechanical Engineering + Marine Engineering Bridging Program (ME+) was established in response to the encountered and foreseen shortage of qualified marine engineering officers onboard vessels.
The ME+ is a six month briding program with K Line’s accredited school VMA Global College, bridging mechanical engineers to become competent marine engineers.
The K Line Maritime Education Scholarship Program (MESP) is a strategic measure adopted by the K Line to prepare its own distinct and unique brand of competent marine personnel who will serve its expanding fleet. The MESP Scholarship program is offered by K Line with the KLMA Phils (administrator) to select students from different secondary schools (high school) in the Philippines.
The KLMA Phils conducts selection of K Line MESP scholars from different secondary schools in the Philippines and enrolls them all in one K Line accredited school to complete their Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering or Marine Transportation.
The accredited school for this scholarship is the Cristal e-College located in Bohol, Philippines. The K Line scholars shall complete a bachelor degree in Marine Engineering and Marine Transportation.

KLMA Philippines
The KLMA Philippines is the institution of choice for competency building. It commits to provide the highest quality and globally competitive education, training and development at all times.
Due to the recent shift to K12 education, KLMA suspended its scholarship for 2 years. In 2017, it reopens its maritime education scholarship program again.
The scholarship grant includes free tuition, board, lodging, uniforms, other expenses related to academic requirement including one year On the Job training onboard international “K” Line vessels.
This is open to all senior high school male students, 17 to 21 years old, enrolled in K-12 program or graduate of a K-12 program.
Qualifying exams include Math, English, IQ test, Psychological Test and Panel Interview. It will be conducted on the specified venue and date. Application forms will be distributed on the location during the exam.
K Line scholarship is also offered in the University of Cebu.
