The JIKFI education program supports college scholarships for underprivileged students, TechVoc and skills training, and education enhancement that includes trainings for public school teachers and computerization of public schools. The JIKFI scholars enjoy the benefits of free seminars, team buildings, Christmas parties, volunteering to different CSR activities, guidance counseling and buddy tutorial. Early 2011, the Scholarship Program was defined as Education Program. The JIKFI branches its services from providing Scholarships to inclusion of Technical-Vocational & Skills Training and Education Enhancement Projects.
Founded in May 1991, Juanito Ibanez king and his children decided to centralize and organize the family’s response to request for assistance from both individuals and groups seeking financial support. The Foundation has since expanded the scholarship program in terms of size and coverage to respond to the ever-growing need for educational assistance, and consequently benefiting deserving students both inside and outside the company.
It serves as a resource agency to assist people in need, but as an implementing agency, with the launching of the Scholarship Program. This program is an affirmation of their family’s commitment to help the then thirty-strong workforce of King’s Quality Foods, Inc. and Nito’s Auto Supply put their children through college, with the belief that education helps break the bonds of poverty!
The Foundation has since expanded the scholarship program in terms of size and coverage to respond to the ever-growing need for educational assistance, and consequently benefiting deserving students both inside and outside the company. The Foundation has further defined its commitment to service when it initiated the operation of a mobile dental van in collaboration with the Cebu Dental Chapter (a branch of the Philippine Dental Association) in 2003. The mobile dental van currently provides free dental services to poor and marginalized communities in Cebu and neighboring provinces five (5) days a week.
It is with this sincere commitment to social responsibility that through the years, JIKFI has continued to provide financial assistance to various institutions, programs, activities, projects and initiatives for the advancement of education, arts and culture, sports, health and nutrition, social welfare and development, church and family welfare, business and ecology. Moreover, the Foundation intends to continue implementing its education and health programs for its current beneficiaries, and then aspire to be more relevant, and expand to wider horizons in order to see the Foundation’s goals achieved and its vision-mission fulfilled.

Keeping true to the vision of the late Founder, Juanito I. King in breaking the bondage of poverty through education, the Juanito I. King Foundation, Inc. (JIKFI) recently formed a partnership with Saint Theresa’s College—Cebu (STC-Cebu). Attended by JIKFI’s Executive Director Mr. Kenneth Raymund H. King and STC-Cebu Dean of College, Sr. Rosie Mendoza, ICM, the signing of the ‘Memorandum of Agreement’ was done last June 7, 2013.
Today, along with its growth and the capacity to serve more, JIKFI provides more scholarship opportunities. The recent milestone with STC-Cebu enables JIKFI to provide 4 more scholarship grants to underprivileged but deserving students who are interested in taking up BS in Social Works.
The scholars are automatically registered as members of the JIKFI Scholars Guild (JSG). As a part of the current pool of more than 60 scholars, they are entitled to member privileges such as skills training, personality development, values formation, team building and buddy tutorial activities. These activities are specifically organized by JIKFI to provide a holistic formation for all its scholars.

Founded in May 1991, the Juanito I.King Foundation, Inc. (JIKFI) was conceptualized by Juanito Ibañez King and his children in order to centralize and organize the family’s response to requests for assistance from both individuals and groups seeking financial support.
Its humble beginnings date back to the late 1950’s, when Mr. King slowly started to acquire real estate through earnings from profitable business ventures. Through hard work and perseverance, Mr. King managed to procure profit from his accumulated property holdings.
Thus, in January of 1979, together with his sons, Robin, Ricarido, Luis and Mario, he set up what is now Juanito King & Sons, Inc. After two successful projects, Villa Solana in Talisay and Villa Solana in Consolacion, Juanito King & Sons, Inc. launched its real estate arm, King Properties, in December of 2011.
