The Gawad Metronian Educational Foundation Inc. (GMEFI) Scholarship and Educational Assistant Program provides financial assistance to students to help them complete high school and also continue their college education. The program supports technical vocational courses. Gawad Metronian Educational Foundation, Inc. (GMEFI) is a non-stock and non-profit organization established in honor of the Founding Chairman and late President of Metro Manila College (MMC), Dr. Mamerto Serrano Miranda and his loving wife, Dr. Ligaya Medina Miranda.
The main program of the GMEFI is the scholarship and educational assistance program, which gives full financial assistance for high school, techvoc, and tertiary education. The Gawad Metronian Educational Foundation, Inc. (GMEFI) is committed to provide reliable and effective scholarships and educational assistance programs for poor and deserving students through responsible resource generation and mutually-beneficial partnerships with like-minded individuals and organizations.
The main program of the GMEFI is the Scholarship and Educational Assistance Program. This provides financial assistance towards completion of high school education, technical-vocational or tertiary education to poor but deserving students. This includes full tuition fee grants, miscellaneous fees, book and uniform allowance in pics 16accordance with the program’s implementing guidelines and policies.
The main thrust of this program is to help indigent and deserving students by providing essential educational assistance that will further their academic success and aid them towards becoming productive members of their families and communities in the future. The Community Educational Program Fund Assistance is intended to supplement the educational and technical-vocational scholarships that GMEFI provides.
Consistent with the thrusts of the foundation is its ultimate aim of developing individuals to become productive and service-driven citizens. The GMEFI partners with recognized Non-Government Organizations to help them realize their projects that will benefit their community. Priority is given to organizations that were established to work for the welfare and benefit of Persons with Disability. Indigenous Peoples organizations are also encouraged to submit their project proposals.

If you have a special child, you should apply through their community fund recipients listed above. In 2017, the GMEFI had their first PWD scholars. Because of their impressive academic results, the Board decided to increase the number of Persons with Disability scholars, specifically students from the Philippine School for the Deaf (PSD), Philippine National School for the Blind (PNSB), and the School for the Crippled.
The foundation aims to maximize whatever assistance the Miranda family could offer for the welfare and benefit of the students, the community and the marginalized sectors of society. The foundation is committed to provide reliable and effective scholarships and educational assistance programs for poor and deserving students through responsible resource generation and mutually beneficial partnerships with like minded individuals and organizations.
