The Educational Assistance Program is designed to address the educational needs of the Zobel employees’ direct dependents through provision of school materials, finances and other support services. This program includes kindergarten, 6 years of elementary education, 4 years of junior high school or Grades 7 to 10 plus another 2 years of senior high school Grades 11 to 12. The program also supports college education.
The Enrique Zoben Foundation is a non stock, non-profit organization. The founder of this foundation believes that “through education there is hope for a better life”. The foundation is committed to contribute in the transformation process of the poor and the other disadvantaged sector of the society.
Today, the foundation continues to enrich the lives of disadvantaged of the disadvantaged sectors of the society through education, which is carried through 5 major program areas of school infrastructure development, teacher training, student health and nutrition, learning support and other special projects.
The Enrique Zobel Foundation is affiliated with the Philippine Council for NGO Accreditation, LGU-DSWD Region IV-A, and the Association of Foundation. They also works with different different organization, such as the DepEd, Alay Kapwa Kilusang Pangkalusugan, MeadJohnson plus more.
The foundation also gives learning support so it can help provide better access to quality and relevant education through the creative use of available learning packages, alternative learning approaches, like the Botanical Tour, visit to the museums, support for enhancing inherent talents of the students, especially in music and arts.
Over the years, the foundation had come up with sustainable programs promoting conducive learning environments, alleviating malnutrition, and enhancing teaching methods.
In 2014, TESDA and the foundation have partnered to establish a technical vocational (tech-voc) training center in the Batangas province. The ENZO Tech became the new learning hub for the youth through the development of their technical skills and proper work values and attitudes.
TESDA provides the capability buildup programs to equip the training center’s trainers and personnel in the conduct of the skills training program. The government agency will also help monitor the progress of the institution, especially during the early stage of its operation.
The foundation will identify the beneficiaries of the skills training program, including those belonging to organized groups, individuals and groups endorsed by the local government unit, families of overseas Filipino workers, and marginalized sectors.
